The F&B Director is responsible for all food and beverage service for the club and directly supervises all food and beverage staff including service staff, kitchen staff, and pool kitchen/bar staff.
This position will work closely with the Executive Chef and Events Coordinator to ensure food and beverage programming and member services are coordinated to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction.
This role also plans and implements budgets, hires, trains, supervises staff, and applies relevant marketing principles to assure that the wants and needs of members are consistently exceeded.
Serves as the face of the Club's food & beverage operation by being visible and interactive during service to both our membership and team members.
Oversees daily operation of all dining outlets, including appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage facilities.
Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and training of staff to support the ongoing operations of the Club.
In-depth knowledge of leadership, coaching, and support techniques.
Ensures that a positive and healthy working environment exists throughout the Club.
Attend all Department Head staff meetings, Food & Beverage meetings, as well as hold weekly service training meetings and special training sessions when needed.
Perform daily line up to review events of the day and menu specials.
Provides exceptional member service and uses prompt and responsive follow-through.
Asks questions to identify members' needs and/or expectations.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Consistently evaluates SOPs necessary to improve operations.
Empower the team to find innovative solutions and prepare to be a club of tomorrow.
Develop and implement operating budgets for dining outlets, based upon service needs and projections, and ensure daily best practices to achieve financial expectations and objectives.
Oversees the ordering and inventory of all purchases including beverages, wine, beer, liquor, etc.
What You'll Need to Be GREAT:
Has a strong operational management record and possesses full understanding of front and back of the house operations with a proven reputation for food and beverage excellence.
Ability to engage with members as well as staff and be incredibly empathetic to the needs of both constituents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven history of team management, organizational, and coaching skills.
Able to develop and implement staff training programs in all areas of the food and beverage operation.
Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
Thorough knowledge of food, beverage, and labor costs on how they relate to P&L, budget, forecasting, etc.
Must Have Minimum
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5
years in Food & Beverage Management preferred and Private Country Club Management is a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience.
