Job Description:
The Auction Processor/ Photographer is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of auction items and capturing high-quality photographs for online auction listings.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
This position will be Part-Time working 20-30 hours per week.
1) Process Auction Items:
Receive and verify incoming auction items, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Catalog and label items according to established procedures.
Conduct research to determine item specifications including:
brand, model, year, condition, dimensions, etc.
Ensure proper storage and organization of auction items.
2) Capture High-Quality Photographs:
Maintain photography station with provided necessary equipment.
Take clear and visually appealing photographs of auction items, highlighting key features and details.
Properly name, organize, and store photographs for easy retrieval using auction company app.
3) Create Compelling Auction Listings:
Write accurate descriptions for auction items, including relevant details, specifications, and condition.
Input item information and sync photographs into the online auction platform.
Ensure consistency and adhere to established guidelines in all auction listings.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Previous experience in auction processing, photography, or a related field is a plus but not required.
On-The-Job training will be available.
Able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must be able to work in different weather elements during the winter and summer.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of antiques, collectibles, or auction industry practices is a plus.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.
